Asus Unveils Vivobook S14 and S16 Copilot+ PC Laptops with Snapdragon X Chips

Asus has expanded its notebook range with the Vivobook S14 and S16 (S3407QA and S3607QA) models based on Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) processors. These chips offer eight cores with support for eight threads, 30 MB of cache memory and operate at a frequency of up to 2.97 GHz. The presence of powerful neural engines (NPU) in the processors with a performance of 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second) allows the new Asus products to meet the requirements of Copilot+ PC.

The manufacturer offers a choice of two displays for the Vivobook S14 (S3407QA): a 14-inch OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10, a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a brightness of 300 cd / m² and 95 percent color space coverage, or a 14-inch IPS display with an aspect ratio of 16:10, a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a brightness of 400 cd / m² and 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color space. The laptop is also offered with 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 RAM and an NVMe drive with a capacity of 512 GB or 1 TB of the PCIe 4.0 standard.

The Vivobook S14 (S3407QA) comes with a webcam, an FHD IR camera with Windows Hello support, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps), two USB4 Gen4 Type-C (40 Gbps), one HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm combo audio jack, and a 70 Wh battery. The system also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

The Vivobook S16 (S3607QA) offers a choice of a 16-inch OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 cd/m² brightness, and 95 percent color gamut coverage, or a 16-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1440 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 400 cd/m² brightness, and 100 percent sRGB color gamut coverage.

Available configurations of RAM and storage, a set of external connectors, network capabilities and battery capacity of the Vivobook S16 (S3607QA) are exactly the same as those of the Vivobook S14 (S3407QA). The thickness of the presented new products is 1.79 cm. The weight of the younger model is 1.34 kg, and the older one is 1.74 kg.

The company did not disclose the cost of the laptops.
