Asus has released three monitors of the VU Air Ionizer series, the main feature of which is a built-in air ionizer. The series includes 23.8- and 27-inch IPS models Asus VU249HFI-W and Asus VU279HFI-W, as well as a 34-inch model Asus VU34WCIP-W on a VA matrix.

All VU Air Ionizer series monitors feature a filterless air ionizer that Asus says “purifies up to 90% of dust and pollutants in the air with an effective coverage area of 1m³.”
The two younger models of the VU Air Ionizer series monitors have almost identical characteristics. Both new products are equipped with screens with an aspect ratio of 16:9, support a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. In turn, the 34-inch Asus VU34WCIP-W model based on a VA matrix supports a resolution of 3440 × 1440 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 21:9. This model also supports a refresh rate of 100 Hz. All monitors have a declared response rate of 1 ms (MPRT).
The brightness of the IPS models is declared at 250 cd/m², while the VA model has 300 cd/m². All screens support 16.7 million colors and shades. All new products also feature adaptive image synchronization technology (from 48 to 100 Hz).
All three new products are already on sale. The junior model Asus VU249HFI-W is priced at $129.99, the Asus VU279HFI-W model is priced at $159.99, and the Asus VU34WCIP-W model is priced at $359.99. Each monitor comes with a one-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.
