Asus introduced powerful gaming laptops ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 with GeForce RTX 5090 and Intel Arrow Lake-HX

Asus has introduced updated gaming laptops ROG Strix Scar 16 (G635L) and ROG Strix Scar 18 (G835L). The systems received the latest Intel Arrow Lake-HX processors and next-generation GeForce RTX 5000 graphics.

The new 16-inch Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18-inch ROG Strix Scar 18 are ready to offer as a basis a processor up to the flagship 24-core Core Ultra 9 275HX (eight P-cores and 16 E-cores) and a frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, as well as up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM.

The graphics subsystem includes video cards from the latest GeForce RTX 5000 series, up to the flagship RTX 5090 model, equipped with 24 GB of video memory. The card has a stated power consumption of up to 175 W.

These laptop models are available with a variety of display options, including ROG Nebula IPS displays with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, 500 cd/m² brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, Pantone Validated, Nvidia Picture Sync technology support G-Sync and Dolby Vision HDR.

The new products also offer NVMe PCIe 4.0 drives up to 2 TB, support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, one 2.5 Gbit LAN network connector, two Thunderbolt 5 ports (with alternative DisplayPort, charging modes and G-Sync support), three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1 FRL and one combo 3.5 mm audio output.


The autonomy of the laptops is ensured by a battery with a capacity of 90 Wh. The package includes a 280 W power supply. The cost of laptops starts at $2,599.99 and depends on the selected configuration.
