Asus introduced the GeForce RTX 4070 Dual EVO video card with GDDR6 memory. The new product borrows its design from the original Dual EVO version with faster GDDR6X memory. The card is 2.5 expansion slots thick and is equipped with a cooling system with two fans. The latter have a full stop function in the absence of serious load on the GPU.

The GeForce RTX 4070 with GDDR6 memory is powered by the AD104-251 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores. Its characteristics are similar to the AD104-250 chip, which is used in the original RTX 4070 with GDDR6X memory.
GDDR6 memory has a data transfer rate of 20 Gb/s per pin – 12 GB in the GeForce RTX 4070 provide a throughput of 480 GB/s. In turn, the GDDR6X memory in the same card has a speed of 21 Gbps per pin and provides a bandwidth of 504 GB/s (that is, 5% more). There is a performance difference between the two versions of the video card, but according to Nvidia, it is insignificant.
For the GeForce RTX 4070 Dual EVO graphics chip, frequencies are stated at 2550 MHz in OS mode and 2520 MHz in standard mode. Overclocking mode can be enabled in the ASUS GPU Tweak III proprietary utility.
The power consumption of the GeForce RTX 4070 Dual EVO with GDDR6 memory is stated at 200 W. The card is equipped with one 8-pin PCIe power connector.
