Arctic has confirmed the compatibility of its cooling systems with Arrow Lake-S processors

Arctic was one of the first cooling system manufacturers to mention the LGA 1851 processor socket in its press releases. Last year, Arctic expected Intel to release Meteor Lake-S desktop chips for it. However, they never appeared, and now LGA 1851 is associated with Arrow Lake-S processors that have not yet been released. Therefore, Arctic considered it worthwhile to once again confirm that all of its current models of cooling systems support the new processor socket.

Next week, Intel will officially unveil the Core Ultra 200 (Arrow Lake-S) series of desktop processors. These chips will be installed in the new LGA 1851 processor socket. Intel itself has not officially spoken about the new socket, but numerous leaks suggest that the launch of the new platform is closely related to the announcement of Arrow Lake-S.

At Computex 2024 this summer, some motherboard manufacturers showed motherboard models with the LGA 1851 socket and the new flagship Intel Z890 chipset. The demonstration was held unofficially. Many details about the platform remained unknown at that time. Until now, Intel has also not confirmed the arrival of a new chipset.

Arctic has published a short press release noting that all of its coolers supporting LGA 1700 purchased after October 23, 2023 are fully compatible with the new LGA 1851 socket. Arctic explains that the mechanical dimensions of the new LGA 1851 socket remain relative to LGA 1700 no changes.

Note that some current LSS models may still have some problems with the cooling efficiency of new processors. This is due to the design features of Arrow Lake-S processors.

Arctic offers almost 40 models of cooling systems compatible with LGA 1700. Of these, 19 models are liquid coolers, and another 19 are air coolers. Prices for the company’s products, taking into account current discounts, range from €20 for the Freezer 36 CO air cooler to €97 for the flagship Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB (White).
