Earlier in the media there was information about Apple’s intention to release in 2025 a new version of Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones. Now Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said that Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones will be officially presented on February 11, and their retail value will be $ 250.

PowerBeats Pro are positioned as a more sports and fitness alternative to AirPods Pro. The design of the headphones provides for regulated earlier arcs for more comfortable and reliable fixation in the ears. According to Gurman, the new PowerBeats Pro 2 is equipped with a branded Apple H2 chip, which is also used in AirPods Pro 2. This means that the function of active noise reduction will be significantly improved in PowerBeats Pro 2 compared to the original model released in 2019.

Earlier it was reported that PowerBeats Pro 2 will receive support for the function of heart rate monitoring during training. The iOS 18 software code also indicates the possibility of pairing headphones with various sports equipment, for example, a treadmill. This will measure the heart rate during classes, and the collected data will be available in the “Health” application and other supported iPhone services.

According to Gurman, the headphones of Powerbeats Pro 2 will be available in new color options, including bright orange. It is also expected that the developers improved the quality of the transmitted sound, increased the battery life of the device, optimized the cross-platform compatibility with Android functions, and equipped the charging case of the USB Type-C interface.
