Apple is preparing to launch a new service for organizing events and invitations with the code name Confetti, which will become part of the iCloud and will be represented by the general public next week. This was announced by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, citing his own sources.

The report said that Confetti will provide “a new way to invite people to parties, events and meetings.” Gourmet noted that Apple has been trying to update the Calendar application for several years, and the appearance of Confetti can only be the first step along this path. He also added that the new service is associated with iOS 18.3, the distribution of which began at the end of January.

Last month, the media have already reported Apple plans to launch a new service, since it was mentioned in the IOS 18.3 beta version.

«After analyzing the code, we came to the conclusion that the application is designed to help users organize meetings and personal events. Although the “calendar” can also be used for these purposes, the new Invites application will probably receive additional functions. The code suggests that Invites will be integrated with iCloud and will even be available in the form of a web version on icloud.com. The application also integrates with the Groupit element that has appeared in iOS 18.3, which is designed to manage databases for groups of people, ”the 9TO5Mac resource said.

According to the source, the application will display a list of people invited to a particular event, as well as those who have already confirmed their participation. It is expected that the new service will receive a more convenient and modern interface than the one used in the “Calendar” section intended for the organization of events.
