Apple Vision Pro 2 will be released between autumn 2025 and spring 2026

The controversial market success of the first-generation Vision Pro augmented reality headset, judging by the available data on Apple’s plans, does not prevent the company from preparing for the release of a second-generation device. According to information distributed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the second generation of the headset will hit the market either in the fall of 2025 or in the spring of 2026.

Last week, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo found out that in order to speed up the announcement of the full-fledged second-generation Vision Pro, Apple postponed the release of a simplified device of this class, which would have a lower price. The so-called Vision Pro 2 is believed to be based on the M5 processor, which will provide an increase in performance. If we consider that by the end of next year Apple personal computers may receive the same processor, then the “filling” of Vision Pro 2 in this sense will not look outdated.

Externally, the second generation headset will differ little from the existing one; Apple will focus on updating its internal contents, including the processor. Perhaps by prioritizing the release of a more expensive augmented reality headset, the company hopes to polish the technology features that will attract wealthy customers to the new product category. Apple will begin working to fill more mass price segments later, when a sufficient number of users appear on the market who understand why they need such devices.
