According to online sources, Apple will focus more on improving video recording in the new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max smartphones, which are scheduled to be launched this fall. Previously, the vendor relied on photography, but now this should change, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.

For years, Apple has been pushing for the iPhone to replace the camera, with each generation of smartphones aiming to offer the best mobile camera system in the industry. The next step is to improve video capabilities. While the iPhone has always been pretty good at this, Apple wants to take video shooting to the next level.
According to Gurman, one of Apple’s goals for the year is to attract vloggers and other content creators to use the iPhone. “One of the goals of the 2025 iPhone lineup is to get the vlogger and other video creator community to move away from standalone cameras and use the iPhone even more in their work. Expect Apple to tout video recording capabilities more than ever when the new iPhones debut in September,” Gurman said in a statement.
The journalist did not specify how exactly Apple could improve the video recording capabilities of the iPhone 17 Pro. More information about this will likely become known as the launch of the new iPhones approaches.
