Apple expands the possibilities for independent repair of devices by adding tools and spare parts for recently released computers based on the M4 chip to an online store. Now users can purchase the necessary components for the repair of M4 Mac Mini, MacBook Pro (14 and 16 inches), as well as M4 IMAC, 9TO5MAC reports.

The assortment contains parts for replacing the battery, lower cover, fan, front-line USB-C ports, motherboard, power buttons and other components. For the convenience of customers, the site provides for the possibility of entering the serial number of the device, so you can quickly choose compatible spare parts. To view the full list of offers, you need to use the drop -down menu of the site.

Note that earlier Apple has already offered an option of independent repairs for various products, including the iPhone 16 Pro. Since then, the program launched in April 2022 has been continued and has been developing successfully, and the company announced a national obligation to grant users from the United States the right to repair their own efforts.

It is worth saying that Apple is not the only company that allowed to repair its equipment on its own. For example, Lenovo has established a partnership with IFIXIT, through which the spare parts for a number of ThinkPad line laptops provides.

Microsoft is also trying to simplify the repair and replacement of the components of its devices. In particular, the repair of the Surface Pro 10 tablet and the Surface Laptop 6 laptop compared to earlier models are greatly simplified. Special marks of the screws used are also added, which may subsequently need replacement and characteristics of the necessary types of tools.
