We’re talking about the Writing Tools feature, which will help you summarize notes, change the tone of messages to make them friendlier or more professional, and turn text into a list or table. AI summaries are also available in notifications and emails, and a new mode has been added to filter out unimportant alerts.
The updated Siri voice assistant is now indicated by a glowing frame around the screen, and allows you to enter text not only by voice, but also by typing on the keyboard after pressing the bottom of the screen. Siri can also now answer many questions about the features and settings of Apple products.
In the Photos app, users will now be able to search by simply describing what they’re looking for. If an unwanted object appears in the frame, the Cleanup tool will allow you to remove it. And the “Memories” function will help you create videos based on the description.
Apple said the next set of features will be added to Apple Intelligence in December. In particular, ChatGPT will be available in Siri, the Writing Tools feature will allow the user to describe changes that Apple’s AI should make, and the AI camera feature – Visual Intelligence – will be able to tell you about the objects around you.
Apple Intelligence will first be available in the US in American English, with support for other languages coming next year. Apple Intelligence AI features will be available to users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK in December, with support for additional languages coming in April.
