April 24 marks 10 years since the first Apple Watch shipped to customers. The company is celebrating the milestone with a campaign called Global Ring Closing Day. On April 24, users must complete all three rings in the Activity Rings app using their favorite fitness workouts to earn a limited-edition digital reward — a limited-edition badge and 10 animated stickers in the Messages app.

Apple has used similar limited-time rewards to motivate users in the past, timed to coincide with holidays or other events. But this time, in addition to the rewards, Apple also released its own research data.
Based on its Apple Heart and Movement Study, the company claims that people who consistently “close their rings” during exercise and fitness activities sleep 48% better and are 73% less likely to have elevated resting heart rates. They are also 57% less likely to experience elevated stress.

Apple is also offering an original “physical” pin inspired by the smartwatch’s 10th anniversary at select Apple Stores while the pins last.
