AOC has introduced a 27-inch gaming monitor Agon Pro AG276QZD2. The manufacturer launched a very aggressive advertising campaign for the monitor. The description of the new product states that the monitor is “damn fast” and has “crazy ergonomics.” Also, the company is positioning it as a monitor for gaming tournaments.

AOC’s product range already includes a monitor model with a similar name, AG276QZD. Agon Pro AG276QZD2 is its updated version. Unlike the original based on the WOLED (White OLED) matrix from LG, the new model uses a Samsung QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) matrix. According to Rtings experts, each has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, QD-OLED provides more accurate colors and also has higher brightness and image uniformity in most use cases compared to WOLED.
The QD-OLED display in the Agon Pro AG276QZD2 supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response speed of 0.03ms GtG. AOC also notes the new product’s DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, which, among other things, indicates its ability to produce a peak brightness of at least 400 cd/m2. In addition, the monitor claims 95 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
The Agon Pro AG276QZD2 is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4. It also offers a pair of USB 3.2 Gen1 downstream ports, so you can connect a mouse and keyboard to it. There is also a 3.5 mm audio output and a pair of built-in 5 W speakers.
The Agon Pro AG276QZD2 also claims to support AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync image synchronization technologies. The manufacturer provides the monitor with a four-year warranty against burnout and a one-year warranty against accidental damage.
The monitor is already on sale. For example, it can be found on Amazon, where it is offered for $600.
