AMD said its Ryzen AI 300 processors are faster than the Apple M3 Pro

AMD is drumming up interest in its latest Ryzen AI 300 (Strix Point) mobile processors, which debut this month. The company recently announced that its new products will be faster than the Apple M3 Pro processor, writes The Verge.

AMD rarely makes direct comparisons with Apple processors. However, as part of its latest presentation, in which the manufacturer focused on the technical features of the Ryzen AI 300 processors on the Zen 5 architecture and compared their performance with chips from Intel and Qualcomm, AMD also said that its new mobile Ryzen “outperforms the MacBook Air in multitasking.” image processing, 3D rendering and games.” AMD says its new chips are “15 percent faster than the M3 Pro” in the Cinebench benchmark and can power up to four displays, “unlike the MacBook Air, which only supports two displays.”

It is not yet possible to independently confirm AMD’s claims. The company itself also did not provide any graphs to compare the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Apple M3 Pro. We need to wait for the first laptops based on Ryzen AI 300 and their reviews to appear. Yet the latest leaks hint that AMD may be right in its claims. At least partly.

It should be added that the Cinebench R23 test for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 was conducted in the Windows 10 operating system environment, which the Ryzen AI 300 processors do not officially support.
