AMD is preparing to release two new graphics cards, the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Their sales will begin on March 6. The latest statements from the company’s representatives give hope that the “red team” is better prepared for this launch than Nvidia with its GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, which are in short supply and sold at unreasonably high prices.

AMD has promised that the launch of the RX 9070 series will come with “really high availability [of cards] at launch,” which is promising news for those planning to upgrade their graphics card in the near future.
At AMD’s latest press conference, Scott Olschewsky, the company’s director of product management, answered several questions about the new technologies used in the Radeon 9000 series graphics cards, their performance, availability, and pricing. When asked if AMD would be releasing reference versions of the cards along with partner variants, Olschewsky said, “We are working closely with our AIB partners this generation to ensure that we are delivering high-quality products in all markets from launch day. We have not seen the need to release so-called MBA (Made By AMD) cards or reference design cards.”
Of course, the words of AMD’s top manager should be taken with a grain of salt, because recent years in the GPU market have shown that statements from company representatives often do not coincide with reality. However, if AMD manages to live up to its promises in terms of video card performance, their availability, and also offer the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT at competitive prices, this could be a real victory for the company.
