AMD will not be releasing the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards in the Made-By-AMD (MBA) reference design. The manufacturer confirmed this in a press release, where it also reminded about the upcoming announcement of new products.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards in the reference MBA design have already appeared on the company’s advertising posters in the past. Judging by the images, these cards have received an updated cooling system design and a thickness of two expansion slots. However, they will not be available for sale.
AMD graphics card collectors may be upset by this news. However, there are some positives to this decision. In most previous launches of new graphics cards, AMD has prioritized the release of accelerators in its own proprietary design, which often limited the number of GPUs available to partners. As noted by the VideoCardz portal, this method of promoting its own cards has often been criticized by manufacturers working with AMD. In the new Radeon RX 9070 series of graphics cards, the company has decided to completely transfer the tasks of their release and promotion to its partners.
The announcement of the new Radeon RX 9070 series of graphics cards is scheduled for February 28. AMD also confirmed to reviewers that the new cards will go on sale starting March 6.
