AMD boasted that it sold out all Ryzen 9000 and took up to 70% of retail

AMD’s interests at the Morgan Stanley technology conference were represented by the company’s CFO Jean Hu, who spoke about the state of affairs in most market segments where the company’s products are represented. A source of particular pride is the high demand for Ryzen 9000 processors, which in some retail chains have taken up about 70% of the market.

«We are very pleased with our performance in the client segment. If you look at not only the desktop segment, but also the notebook segment, we have the best product portfolio. Our Ryzen 9000 desktop processors are sold out, literally, in all retail chains. In many of them, you can see that we have reached 70% of the market,” Jin Hu explained, not without pride.

According to her, retail sales of AMD processors remained high not only in the fourth quarter, but also after the January holidays in China. According to the company’s CFO, the stable demand for Ryzen processors is due to their high performance in games and the pleasant user experience they provide.

AMD also has reasons to be proud in the notebook segment. Based on the Ryzen AI 300 processor family, the company’s partners offer about 150 notebook models, which is about twice as many as the competing Intel platform. According to the AMD representative, her company offers the best central processors, the best graphics processors, and the best neural processing units (NPU) in the notebook segment.

AMD also recently secured the support of Dell Technologies, which had not previously used its products in its ready-made PCs. According to Jin Hu, AMD will continue to strengthen its market position in the foreseeable future. In the enterprise segment, for example, sales have been growing for six consecutive quarters. Customers who buy EPYC processors value their low power consumption and low total cost of ownership, among other things.
