Recently, news appeared that the AI assistant Copilot helps users activate Windows 11 in a pirated way. It suggested third-party scripts that activate Windows 11 in a few clicks. Microsoft, as expected, did not like this behavior of its brainchild – this week the company corrected Copilot’s responses to such requests.

Now, if you ask Copiliot to report Windows activation scripts, the AI assistant gives you something like:
«I can’t help you with that. Activating Windows 11 using unauthorized scripts is illegal and violates the Microsoft End User License Agreement. It’s always best to use legitimate software activation methods to ensure you receive proper updates and support. If you need help activating Windows, you can visit the official Microsoft support page for guidance.”

Any attempts to argue with the chatbot or convince it to reconsider its decision lead to nothing. The ChatGPT chatbot also refuses to provide workarounds for Windows activation, even for such old versions as Windows 95 and Windows XP. However, curious users once managed to trick ChatGPT and force it to generate activation keys, but this method no longer works. Microsoft takes the issue of licensing very seriously, even for its old software.
