Samsung is preparing a relatively affordable foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. One of the key differences between it and the older Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be the size of the external screen. This follows from new renders of the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model, published by the well-known insider OnLeaks, reports The Verge. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (Fan Edition) version will have a smaller external screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE appears to feature the same outer display as the Z Flip 5 and Z Flip 6, with a thick frame and a stepped bottom edge housing the camera lenses. Earlier renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE showed a larger outer display that takes up almost the entire back cover.
According to OnLeaks, which created the renders in collaboration with SammyGuru based on the leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE’s outer display measures 3.4 inches, the same size as the Galaxy Z Flip 6. When unfolded, the Z Flip 7 FE measures 165.1 x 71.7 x 7.4 mm, making it slightly thicker than last year’s Z Flip 6.
Rumors of a Samsung Z Flip FE have been circulating for years. In part, its appearance would allow the company to compete with Motorola’s more affordable Razr foldable smartphones. Chances are high that Samsung will finally unveil the model that fans have been waiting for this year. Traditionally, the company announces its new foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July.
