Adobe demonstrated several experimental tools based on artificial intelligence – they are intended to create images, animated effects, and clean up unnecessary elements from videos and photos. All these tools may eventually appear in the Creative Cloud family of applications.

The tools are designed to work in completely different environments, but have the same goal – to automate the monotonous but difficult tasks required in the preparation of materials, and give authors more control over them, not limited to writing queries to AI. Users of Adobe products will be able to create images and animations, as well as perform complex video editing, without significant experience or spending a lot of time.
A tool called Project Scenic gives you more control over the images produced by Adobe’s Firefly model. During the process of creating an image, Scenic generates a three-dimensional scene that allows you to add and mix certain objects, as well as change their size. The final results are used as input to create a 2D image corresponding to the three-dimensional plan.
Project Motion works in a two-step manner and is designed to quickly create animated graphics in a variety of styles. The first step is a simple animation builder that allows creators to add motion effects to text and basic images without any prior animation experience. At the second stage, the animated video is converted taking into account the text description and source images – color, texture and background sequences are added.
Project Clean Machine automatically removes unwanted elements from still images and videos, such as camera flashes and people accidentally caught in the frame. For example, if fireworks in the background cause several frames to be overexposed, Clean Machine ensures consistent color and lighting throughout the video.
All of these tools were shown at the Adobe MAX conference in the Sneaks section, which is how the company calls projects in development that demonstrate new technologies and gauges public interest in them. Not all of these are guaranteed to appear in Adobe’s publicly available products, but many of the company’s cutting-edge photo and video editing features have their origins in these projects.
