Adobe Adds More AI Features to Illustrator and Photoshop

Adobe announced the expansion of the functionality of Illustrator and Photoshop and the inclusion of new tools based on artificial intelligence in the software solutions. Generative vector fills have appeared in Illustrator, and Photoshop has received new brushes and tools for working with text. The company says the new features will help “speed up everyday creative workflows and give users more control.”

Adobe Illustrator has received Generative Shape Fill, which allows users to apply vector graphics by entering text prompts in the contextual taskbar. Users can use different elements of the same document as the basis for filling out a new shape. Everything created with the new tool is initially vectorized, which gives unlimited editing and scaling possibilities.

Another cool new feature in Illustrator is Mockup, which helps you visualize the end result of placing your illustration on a real object, such as a piece of clothing or packaging. Illustrator analyzes the object and applies the illustration to it, choosing the right dimensions and perspectives.

The graphics editor update also offers other new features, such as the ability to detect fonts in vector and bitmap images and edit or replace them. And with the Text to Pattern tool, you can quickly create editable backgrounds for your projects.

Photoshop also gets new features like the Selection Brush Tool and the Adjustment Brush Tool to help with workflows that contain repetitive tasks. There have also been improvements to the Type tool and contextual taskbar, and Adobe Firefly has been updated to the latest version.

Adobe is constantly adding a ton of AI-powered features to its apps, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping. AI-powered tools require a connection to Adobe servers and are available only by subscription.
