Acer will soon introduce Nitro Blaze 11 and Blaze 8 portable consoles with large screens

Acer intends to announce portable gaming consoles Nitro Blaze 11 and Blaze 8 next week – the numbers in the model names probably indicate the screen diagonal. This was reported by the VideoCardz.com resource with reference to its own source.

Judging by the names, Acer is preparing to present portable gaming computers with 8- and 11-inch screens. At the moment, the company’s product range includes only one portable console, Nitro Blaze 7, which runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U Hawk Point hybrid chip. The new devices will be based on AMD Ryzen AI 300 APU series processors – upgrading devices to the new Strix Point series on the Zen 5 microarchitecture definitely makes sense.

Acer’s Nitro Blaze 7 came out relatively late and hasn’t had time to make a significant impact on the performance portable console market – a segment currently dominated by Valve Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. The first MSI Claw never became popular due to its high price and low performance – perhaps this will be corrected by the new MSI Claw 7/8 AI+.

Acer still has a chance to catch up with its competitors and compete with the new Lenovo Legion Go, which is expected to receive an AMD Ryzen Z2 processor. With competition intensifying, performance may not be the most important consideration, and price will become the determining factor. More details are expected to come out next week following AMD’s press conference.
