Acer introduced Predator Hera CUDIMM DDR5 Special Edition RAM modules, the radiators of which are plated with real gold. According to the manufacturer, the new products can operate at speeds of over 10,000 MT/s.
Acer announced that the new Predator Hera DDR5 Special Edition memory modules use memory chips from South Korean manufacturer SK hynix. The volume of one module is 24 GB. The memory supports Intel XMP overclocking profiles. The standard profile provides speeds of 9200 MT/s and latencies of CL46-56-46-134. The second XMP profile allows you to increase the speed to 9466 MT/s, and the timings will be CL48-57-57-134.
The company says it manually overclocked the memory to 10,270 MT/s using conventional air cooling as part of the experiment. However, the Predator Hera CUDIMM DDR5 Special Edition stands out not only for its overclocking potential, but also for its appearance. The heatsinks of the memory modules are plated with 24-karat gold. The metal is applied in several layers, creating the effect of a mirror surface.
It is unknown when memory modules will go on sale and how much they will cost. However, taking into account their capabilities, as well as design, their price will be appropriate.
