AAEON has announced the UP 710S Edge industrial mini-computer, its most compact solution based on the Intel Alder Lake-N hardware platform. The device is housed in a case with dimensions of 92×77×38.5 mm and weighs about 0.3 kg.
Depending on the modification, the Intel Processor N200 (4C/4T; up to 3.7 GHz; 6 W), Intel Processor N100 (4C/4T; up to 3.4 GHz; 6 W), Intel Processor N97 (4C/4T; up to 3.6 GHz; 12 W) or Intel Processor N50 (2C/2T; up to 3.4 GHz; 6 W) chip is used. An integrated Intel UHD graphics controller is used. The amount of LPDDR5 RAM reaches 8 GB.

The new product is equipped with an eMMC flash module with a capacity of up to 64 GB. There is an M.2 2230 E-Key slot (PCIe x1, USB 2.0), in which a combined Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module can be installed. There is a 1GbE network controller with an RJ45 connector. The device has three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 1.4b interface, a serial RS-232/422/485 port, and a GPIO block (PWM, I2C, SPI). A TPM 2.0 module is provided.
The device is satisfied with passive cooling, and the ribbed surface of the case acts as a radiator. The operating temperature range extends from -5 to +60 °C. Installation is allowed using VESA or DIN rail mounting. Power (12 V) is supplied via a DC connector. Compatibility with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 24H2 LTSC, Ubuntu 22.04.4+ LTS and Yocto 4.0 is declared. The new product can be used, for example, as an IoT gateway.
