Om System introduced a mirrorless camera of Micro Four Thirds-OM-3, reminiscent of the film Olympus OM-1 from 1972. Despite the classic appearance, OM-3 has modern capabilities: 20.37-MP with a multi-layer sensor with rear backlight, video in resolution 4K with a frequency of 60 frames per second and 10-bit color depth, as well as a set of handles and buttons for controlling color modes and functions of computing photography.

The functions of the computing photograph of the OM-3 are launched by pressing the button and tuned in the rotation of the handle: a single press activates the last used mode, and with a long press on the screen, a list is displayed, which can be configured by selecting the most popular effects and filters. These modes support the shooting with increased resolution in a 14-bit RAW format (up to 50 megapixels with hands and up to 80 megapixels on a tripod), neutral and gradient filters, composite images (including the addition of focus and brackets of the exposition), as well as autofocus with artificial intelligence who independently discovers objects in the frame. With a fixed focus, it is possible to shoot with a frequency of up to 120 frames per second, in continuous autofocus mode – up to 50 frames per second; A system of autofocus is used with a cross -cutting phase detection of 1053 points.
The OM-3 camera from Olympus Pen-F got another control element that refers to film models-Creative Dial. It provides quick access to imitation of photography profiles, color and black and white profiles with wide configuration opportunities-all this is instantly available on the screen. A slow video mode is also provided in a resolution of 1080p with a frequency of 240 frames per second, preliminary shooting is supported up to 70 frames, which allows not to miss an important point, and five -axial stabilization is also implemented. The image is displayed on a 3-inch LCD display, there is one slot for SD UHS-II memory cards. The case is protected from adverse weather conditions according to the IP53 standard (light spray of water and slight penetration of dust), and the battery is enough for about 590 pictures in standard mode.
OM System OM-3 is available for a preliminary order for $ 1999.99 without optics or for $ 2299.99 complete with the Om System M.Zuiko Ed 12-45mm F4.0 Pro lens. American buyers are offered a $ 200 discount when buying a camera complete with M.Zuiko Digital 25mm F1.8 lenses for $ 499,99 or M.Zuiko Digital 17mm F1.8 II for $ 549.99.
