The Swedish company Jetson AB presented the first serial flying electric motorcycle or even flying buggy — the Jetson One model in the form of a frame quadcopter. The device is available for order. To place an order, you will have to make a non-refundable deposit of $8,000. The total cost of the personal air vehicle is $128,000. All the machines that will be released in 2025 and 2026 have already been sold out. Now you can order the Jetson One only for 2027.

To draw attention to the unusual device, the manufacturer published a video of the flight of the serial model of Jetson One. Most likely, it will be possible to control such a device even without a pilot’s license, which will significantly expand the audience of potential users. However, the flight zones will probably be strictly regulated – an issue that the company is not in a hurry to comment on.
The Jetson One flying vehicle weighs 86 kg and can accelerate to approximately 100 km/h. All eight motors are controlled using a joystick via a wired system. The device is also equipped with an autopilot with a lidar to avoid obstacles, and in the event of an emergency, automatic landing is possible without the participation of the pilot. The manufacturer promises high reliability: Jetson One is able to stabilize the flight even if one set of engines fails.
Vertical takeoff and landing aircraft like the Jetson One are unlikely to become a mass-market means of transportation in the coming years. Rather, the device is intended for active recreation rather than everyday use, as the flight time on a fully charged battery is less than 20 minutes.
