During the allotted ten minutes of airtime for the video diary, the authors managed to talk about the planned changes that will occur in Valorant this year. Thus, the project will be transferred to Unreal Engine 5 with patch 11.02, which will be released at the end of July. Replays of matches will appear in September on PC and by the end of 2025 on consoles.
According to Riot Games representatives, the transition to the current version of the engine from Epic Games has a number of advantages, among which the most notable are accelerated loading of future updates and a higher frame rate.
As for the replay system, its set of features will resemble a similar function in Counter-Strike 2. Players will be allowed to view played matches in first-person mode (from any participant) or use the free camera mode.
Valorant was released on PC in 2020, and in 2024 it became available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In April of this year, Riot Games officially confirmed the existence of a mobile version of the shooter, but its release will initially take place only in China.
