Razer has released its first kit that lets you build your own keyboard by adding your preferred mechanical switches and keycaps. It’s based on the compact 75% version of the Razer BlackWidow V4 keyboard. It’s available in black ($139.99) and white ($149.99).

The Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones supports both 3- and 5-pin mechanical switches, as well as custom keycaps. It features dampening foam to minimize unwanted reverberation, lubricated stabilizers for a smoother keystroke, FR4 glass fiber for a deeper sound profile, and pre-applied tape to soften high-frequency clicks.

The model supports wireless connectivity with a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz (Razer HyperPolling technology). The platform also features vibrant per-key RGB lighting and dual-sided backlighting powered by Razer Chroma RGB.

For the BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones, Razer offers several mechanical switch options: green for a distinctive click, yellow for a smooth linear actuation, and orange for tactile feedback without the click.

The new product also comes with a set of Razer Phantom Keycap Upgrade Set keycaps in black and white. The cost of the mechanical switch set is $24.99, and the keycap set is $34.99.
