Reviews of the Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card will appear on June 5, when the new product goes on sale. However, some media resources have already prepared articles, and information from them has managed to leak onto the Internet. According to tests by the Eteknix portal, the Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card provides a very high level of performance for a model in the upper mid-price segment.

The new card often matches and even outperforms the Radeon RX 7700 XT at 1080p. However, the 128-bit memory bus is a bottleneck for the Radeon RX 9060 XT, which prevents it from fully showing off at 1440p, where it falls behind the RX 7700 XT.

Eteknix’s review used the Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB of memory. The card was compared to a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with the same amount of memory. Both cards are priced between $349 and $429.

Based on the results of 10 gaming tests at 1080p resolution, the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB model provided a higher minimum frame rate per second (1% Low), but was slightly inferior to the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB in terms of average FPS. In terms of average minimum FPS, the new Radeon provided 148 fps, while the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB – 143 fps, which is 3.5% less. On average, the RX 9060 XT 16GB produced 187 fps, while the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB – 194 fps. Thus, the new product from Radeon was 3.6% slower.

Eteknix’s review included a Radeon RX 9060 XT with a factory overclocked GPU. The comparison did not include the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB model, which AMD used in its internal tests. According to AMD, their new product is 6% faster based on the results of 40 gaming tests at 1440p. Thus, AMD positions the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB as a solution for gaming at 1440p.
