Gigabyte has unveiled the X870 Aorus Stealth and B850 Aorus Stealth motherboards for Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors. The key feature of both boards is the power connectors, which are located on the back side.

Visually, the new products are very similar to each other. The X870 model has a more powerful VRM power subsystem, built according to the 16+2+2 scheme. In turn, the B850 received a 14+2+2 power phase scheme. Additionally, the model on the senior chipset stands out for the presence of USB4 connectors.

Both boards have four DDR5 memory slots with support for DDR5-8200 modules via overclocking. Each has two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for video cards and four M.2 connectors for NVMe drives. Some slots support the PCIe 5.0 x4 interface.

The main problem with such boards is compatibility with computer cases. Regular ones won’t do. You need those that the manufacturers have provided for additional holes for the power connectors moved to the back.

Gigabyte has provided a link to supported cases, which include Cooler Master, Corsair, Lian Li, Thermaltake, and Phanteks.

The company is likely to announce the prices of the presented models of the X870 Aorus Stealth and B850 Aorus Stealth motherboards at Computex 2025, which will be held on the twenties of this month. In addition, the company itself also presented the C500 Panoramic Stealth Ice case (pictured above), compatible with these boards.
