Nioh 3 takes place during Japan’s historically turbulent Sengoku period. Players take on the role of young warrior Tokugawa Ieyasu, who is preparing to become the next shogun but is forced to defend the country from an attack by yokai.

Nioh 3 developers promise samurai and ninja fighting styles (with instant switching between them), an open world full of challenges, formidable monsters and the character editor that players love.

The announcement of Nioh 3 was accompanied by a two-minute trailer (see the video above) interspersed with gameplay. Fans were delighted by the confirmation of the third game. “Dreams do come true!” — monkeyd.luffy-taro3661 was convinced.

Nioh 3 is expected to be released in early 2026 on PC (the Steam page has not yet opened) and PS5. A demo version is available on Sony’s console until June 18 – for completing it in the full game you can get a special helmet.
