Let us remind you that on the evening of July 15, an almost ready-for-release build of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, allegedly dated June 20, appeared on torrent trackers: it allowed you to go through the plot from beginning to end, but contained several unfinished elements.
The developers confirmed the fact of the leak, but assured that it was not the close to final version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 that was made available to the public, but an outdated one – by the time the game is released in September it will be “almost a year old.”

Focus and Saber are “saddened” that many of the surprises that the teams tried to keep secret were spoiled, and some of the most impatient fans will make their first impression of the game based on the old build.
The companies urged everyone to “avoid this unfinished build and not spoil the game for those who see it for the first time at launch,” and called the best way to support the developers is to play Space Marine 2 the way “they always intended.”

«Our teams have spent years of hard work, passion and dedication to create a game worthy of your hopes and expectations… That’s why we decided to spend more time on development,” the authors shared.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and premium edition buyers will have access to the game on September 5. The promised “beta” was canceled in order to focus on preparations for release.
