World of Goo 2 Coming to Steam Before Late Spring

The physics puzzle game World of Goo 2 is set to be released on Steam in the spring of 2025, as announced by developers 2D Boy and publisher Tomorrow Corporation. The game was released on PC last August exclusively on the Epic Games Store, and can now be added to your wishlist on Valve’s service. The game can also be purchased directly on its official website.

As with the first World of Goo, the sequel offers gamers to control balls (goo) of shape-changing slime. Using moving bodies, you need to build bridges, erect towers, shape the desired landscape and even refuel flying structures.

World of Goo 2 was warmly received by critics and ordinary gamers. The project’s rating on the OpenCritic aggregator website is 82%. The situation is similar on Metacritic – 85% with 12 critic reviews (PC version; the game was also released on Nintendo Switch).

In his review for 3DNews, Alexey Likhachev gave the project 8.0/10, summing up: “A wonderful return of a puzzle game beloved by many. It won’t have the same impact on the industry as its predecessor, but it will give you plenty of nostalgia.”
