After the story received media coverage, Wizards of the Coast called the complaint a mistake and apologized for it: “We are in the process of fixing the issue so that fans and the Stardew community can continue to enjoy this great mod!”

At press time, the Baldur’s Village page on Nexus Mods had already been restored. Vincke considered the resolution of the situation a “good ending” and praised Wizards of the Coast for quickly correcting its own mistakes.
