We are talking about the action-adventure Wonder Woman based on the DC comics about Wonder Woman, announced in December 2021. Since then, $100 million has been spent on the game. In early 2024, production was restarted, and the head of development was replaced.

Wonder Woman studio Monolith Productions (No One Lives Forever, F.E.A.R., Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War) is closing down after 30 years of work.

The second Warner Bros. Games studio to be closed is Player First Games, which released the free-to-play platform fighting game MultiVersus. The project disappointed the management and will be closed permanently on May 30.

Warner Bros. Games will also close the WB San Diego studio. It was founded in 2021 and has not released a single game yet, although it was working on “the next generation of high-quality cross-platform projects.”

In a statement to the press, Warner Bros. Games confirmed Schreier’s information, explaining that this “extremely difficult decision” was due to a desire to focus on four main franchises: Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, DC and Mortal Kombat.

«“We admire the passion of all three teams and thank the employees for their contribution. As difficult as it is today, we are focused and enthusiastic about getting back to producing quality games for our loyal fans,” WB Games assured.
