The medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from the Czech Warhorse Studios hasn’t even started receiving the promised story additions yet, and the developers are already preparing to produce the next game.

Warhorse PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling gave an insight into what to expect from the studio’s next project in a recent interview with Japanese publication GameSpark.
According to Stolz-Zwilling, Warhorse wants to continue making “deep, emotional, cinematic, and story-driven RPGs.” The studio plans to increase its staff from 250 to 300 before beginning development.

Development of the next Warhorse game is set to begin in parallel with the production of post-release content for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The story expansion Brushes with Death is currently in development for release.
During a stream on April 24, Stolz-Zwilling and Warhorse lead designer Prokop Jirsa showed off gameplay of Brushes with Death, including the new shield painting feature.

In Brushes with Death, players will help artist Master Voite find inspiration for his masterpiece. The addon will be released in May along with a major patch 1.3, which will add horse racing and horseback archery to the game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released on February 4 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and on March 28 it reached GOG. The game has already reached 2 million copies sold, and in mid-April it received the promised hardcore mode.
