Studio Digital Extremes (online action game Warframe) held an online presentation of its next project – the fantasy MMO action game Soulframe.

As part of the TennoCon 2024 festival, the developers presented the gameplay of an early version of the game, also showing the character personalization system, magical abilities and combat system. Much attention was paid to the battle with the new enemy Nimrod and the meeting with the formidable armored bear named Bromius.

Soulframe is an ambitious project that differs in design from the studio’s previous work. While Warframe focuses on speed and gunplay, Soulframe offers slower, more melee-heavy gameplay. At the same time, Digital Extremes employees remain faithful to the “game-service” genre and focus on close interaction with the community.

Soulframe Preludes, an early version of the game, will be available to a wider audience this fall. The developers emphasize that closed testing has proven to be an invaluable source of information, and they continue to study feedback from gamers.

«Yes, the game is not finished yet, but this is how we always work: we collect feedback and make changes regularly,” said creative director Geoff Crookes.
