Valve redesigned the map in the shooter Deadlock in the style of Dota 2

Valve has released a major update for its hero shooter Deadlock (which is still invitation-only) with major changes to the map. It now has three attack paths (like Dota 2) instead of four.

The transformation of the key location entailed many minor edits in individual areas. The developers adjusted the visual effects, the geometry of buildings, as well as the number of neutral camps, vents and destructible objects.

The creators of Deadlock understand that players will need time to explore the updated map, so they introduced a special free exploration mode outside of matches. Of the gameplay changes, it is worth noting the updated soul pickup system: now you don’t need to deliver the final blow to creatures, you just need to be nearby.

Deadlock has received support for DLSS and Reflex technologies from Nvidia, as well as FSR 3 and Anti-Lag 2.0 from AMD. The developers report an increase in the overall performance of the game client and an improvement in the preloading of objects to prevent shader compilation right during the match.

Deadlock doesn’t have a release date yet, and access to the hero shooter is currently by invitation only.
