As it became known, the Steam Autumn Sale will start in 2025 two months earlier than usual – on September 29, although in the past it began at the end of the season: November 27 in 2024, November 21 in 2023, November 22 in 2022.
Valve did not name the reason for the change, but the company probably wants to create a buffer between the fall and winter sales. In 2024, the end of the first and the beginning of the second were separated by only two weeks.
Users were unable to restore the financial balance between the two promotions. The change also distributed large seasonal sales more evenly throughout the year (roughly every three months).
In recent years, the start of the fall sales has coincided with Black Friday.
The schedule for the first half of 2025 presented last summer remains unchanged and is presented below (excluding events that have already been completed):
In the second half of 2025, Steam users can look forward to the following official events:
As always, Valve reserves the right to revise the schedule or list of events, but such adjustments are rare once the schedule is published.
