Not all games that have fallen into Steam early access are selected from there – some cease to be updated and are abandoned by developers. To make users easily recognize such projects, Valve added a new function to the service.

Reddit forum users and the SteamDB database administration noted that recently, the corresponding warnings began to appear on the pages of long -up -up games in early access.

«Please note: the developers released the last update for more than 13 months. back. Information and terms indicated by the developers may no longer correspond to reality, ”says the Battlebit Remastered page.

Recall that the low -polygonal network shooter from the Okigames team burst into the early access of Steam in the summer of 2023 and for two weeks sold in the amount of 1.8 million copies. Since December 2023, however, the game has not been updated.

Reddit participants reacted positively to the innovation, noting that it will help to make more balanced decisions when buying games in the early access of Steam, not hoping for user reviews or information from developers.

It is also worth noting that a similar function has long been present in Steam extensions from third -party developers (for example, from the SteamDB team).

Valve officially did not represent a new function, so it is not yet clear which period after the last update the system considers the system to be suspicious (at least 12 months, judging by the example of Reddit).
