According to Henderson, Ubisoft is currently developing at least nine Assassin’s Creed games, scheduled to be released over the next six years.

Henderson notes that Ubisoft’s strategy for developing Assassin’s Creed is to alternate large flagship releases with smaller projects and remakes of previous games in the series.

Codename: Hexe has been confirmed for Fall 2022 alongside the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The next release in the franchise is expected to be the mobile Codename: Jade from Tencent. Next, Ubisoft plans to release the multiplayer Invictus, inspired by the arcade game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, which they intend to support for five years.

Then there’s a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Codename: Hexe about witch hunting. The game is going to be released after the end of support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows (about two years) and, in turn, will be supported for about a year.

Black Flag Remake Under Codename Obsidian

Ubisoft’s more distant plans include:

  • Scarlet (the next big RPG after Assassin’s Creed Shadows) – Henderson believes the game will take players to India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean;
  • Stardust (the next remake after Black Flag) – it is unclear which Assassin’s Creed they are trying to update with this project;
  • Emerald (another multiplayer game with a five-year support plan) – coming out “a couple of months” after Stardust;
  • The next big RPG – no codename, developer or theme yet, but planned for release after Scarlet’s content support ends (about two years);
  • The next remake is also without a developer for now. It is being prepared for release about a year after the game from the previous point.
