The second fan project on Bloodborne in recent days suddenly violated the copyright of Sony

The recent story with the belated complaint of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) on copyright disorders with an unofficial patch with a support of 60 frames/s for the Gothic action Bloodborne was continued.

Recall that Modder Lance McDonald, who released the patch on February 21, 2021, recently received a DMCA complaint on behalf of SIE with a demand to delete a patch link, which the author did.

Subsequently, McDonald clarified that Sony did not have claims to the very fashion (he does not violate copyright), but to the use of Bloodborne, protected by the brand in its name.

Following McDonald, the programmer Lilith Walther received a similar complaint on behalf of SIE, who released (without problems from the platform holder), the Bloodborne – Bloodborne PSX fan demect.

One of the Bloodborne PSX videos on YouTube was blocked due to a complaint against copyright violation of Markscan Enforceement. As McDonald explained, it was this company by order of SIE that blocked his mod for Bloodborne.

Why Sony suddenly undertook to block fan projects on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne, history is silent. McDonald hopes that the company simply clears the space for the announcement of an official remake with a support of 60 frames/s.

Bloodborne was published in March 2015 on PS4. Despite 7.4 million copies and cult status, the game received neither a sequel nor a remister. However, the creators of the Shadps4 emulator are working to turn a dream into reality.
