The story-driven futuristic shooter La Quimera from the Reburn studio founded by former Metro developers, despite a recent announcement, was not released on April 25. The release was postponed at the last possible moment.

In a message posted on the team’s Discord server, Reburn head Dmitry Lymar (former director of 4A Games) apologized for the sudden delay and cited unforeseen issues as the reason.
«Our Reburn team has been working hard on the game, but since this is our first project as an independent developer, we encountered some unexpected issues,” Lymar explained in the statement.
La Quimera has no new release dates. As such, the game lost its release date on the day of its release. Reburn will try to resolve the issues as soon as possible and provide users with guidance on the release plans.
It is noteworthy that the announcement of the transfer of La Quimera was preceded by the publication of the first reviews of the game. Journalists from XboxEra, Wccftech and Insider Gaming, among others, called the debut project Reburn a complete disappointment.
La Quimera was criticized for its ridiculous length (three story missions for $30), superficial gameplay, unclear script, unprofessional English voice acting, and abundance of bugs of varying severity.
It was previously reported that the director of Drive, Nicolas Winding Refn, is responsible for the setting and script for La Quimera, and the game’s production is headed by Alexander Kostyuk, who worked on the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
