The PCGAMESN portal drew attention to the project of the French artist and developer Max Parata, which looks like a mixture of Cyberpunk 2077 and Neeed for Speed Underground 2.
The game is called Punk Runner and is an inspired NFS Underground 2 Racing Arcada with flying machines instead of ordinary cars. Events will unfold in a cyberpanic city, reminiscent of Night City from Cyberpunk 2077.
Users will get the role of a promising street racer who will have to prove their solvency in confrontation with formidable rivals. The system of individualization of vehicles is declared.
According to Parata, unlike other games with flying machines, they are controlled in Punk Runner as ordinary cars (and not helicopters, drones or starships), but with accelerators instead of wheels.
The developer promises a mixture of rapid racing action and cyberpanic aesthetics, inspired by the Japanese automobile culture, pumping cars and a seamless open world where you can challenge any racer.
The other day after five years of development, Punk Runner received the first public demo (a parata calls it early access) with one machine and a racing highway, as well as two small cards for research.
You can familiarize yourself with Punk Runner on the website itch.io. Parata plans to fill the assembly with new tracks and machines, add customization, improve AI and expand the space available for study.
