“The Most Anticipated Game in a Long Time”: Sci-Fi Action Saros from the Creators of Returnal Intrigues Gamers

Saros is a third-person, single-player sci-fi action game with roguelike elements starring The Fall of the House of Usher star Rahul Kohli.

Players will take on the role of a powerful Soltari warrior named Arjun Devraj, who is searching for answers about a lost colony on the planet Carcosa, which is under threat from a sinister eclipse.

The developers call the system of irreversible progress and resources the key gameplay difference between Saros and Returnal. After each death, the world changes, but players will be able to choose which weapon or suit element to upgrade forever.

The announcement trailer for Saros presented at State of Play turned out to be entirely cinematic and did not contain a single frame of gameplay. The gameplay is promised to be shown before the end of 2025.

The comments under the trailer were excited about the announcement of Saros. Fans were happy to see the development of Returnal’s ideas in the new Housemarque project. “The most anticipated game in a long time for me,” shared TheGrooovyDude.

Saros is expected to be released in 2026 only on PS5, although Returnal also visited PC at one time. They promise an evolution of Housemarque gameplay, well-developed action, a narrative surrounded by mystery, and colorful characters.
