As it became known, the first eSports Olympic Games will be held in 2025 in Saudi Arabia. The duration of the agreement between the IOC and the Olympic Committee of the eastern country is 12 years.

The capital of the eSports Olympic Games, the specific location (or locations) and dates, the list of disciplines and the principles of the qualification process are not specified at this stage.

It is reported that international federations and national Olympic committees, already involved in virtual versions of their sport, are vying for the status of IOC partners in the first place.
