The mysterious game Terminator 2D: No Fate, which appeared on the Australian regulator’s website in December, has finally been officially unveiled. The announcement was accompanied by a gameplay trailer.

Terminator 2D: No Fate is a joint project between Reef Entertainment (Terminator: Resistance) and British studio Bitmap Bureau (Final Vendetta, Xeno Crisis).
In terms of genre, Terminator 2D: No Fate is an arcade action platformer in the vein of Contra. The game is based on the cult film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but includes original scenes and multiple endings.
As Sarah Connor and the T-800, players must battle the liquid metal assassin T-1000 to thwart Skynet’s plans to wipe out humanity, and as John Connor, lead the Resistance into the future.

Terminator 2D: No Fate is set to release on September 5 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. Fans are excited about the upcoming release: “It looks like the game every 90s kid wanted to play.”
