The former Stream DR Disrespect Studio announced the closure and abolition of the game – returning the funds in question

The American Midnight Society studio, founded with the participation of the popular game streamer, Guy Beahm, better known under the pseudonym DR DISRESPECT, announced its closure and cancellation of the competitive deadrop shooter.

Recall that in 2021, last summer, Midnight Society broke up with DR Disrespect against the backdrop of clarification of its eternal ban on Twitch, and in September conducted “significant” reductions.

«Today we announce that after three incredible years with a stunning team of 55 developers who participated in the development of our new game Deadrop, Midnight Society closes its doors, ”says the official announcement.

As for Deadrop, the conditionally deposited competitive shooter on the Unreal Engine 5 by the end of 2024 was still at the Prealphs stage, but this did not prevent the developers from selling early access to the game and trade NFT.

Comments on the Midnight Society announcement are overwhelmed with questions from the “founders” (those who acquired early access to Deadrop) about the potential return of funds against the background of the abolition of the game, but the creators are in no hurry to clarify the situation.

Ironically, on the day of the announcement of the closure of his former DR Disrespect studio, Stream announced that Google had returned the monetization of his YouTube channel, disconnected at the end of June.

According to Google, the company restored the status of the DR DISRESPECT partner program on YouTube after a “thorough analysis” of recent activity on the channel, but in case of possible violations, it is ready to take appropriate measures.
