As it became known, The Forever Winter will break into Steam Early Access on September 24, 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a five-minute address from the developers to the players attached below.

At its Early Access launch, The Forever Winter will feature four pre-built maps and one test map, as well as five characters with unique playstyles each. Five more locations will debut in the project before the second half of 2025.

The starter version will cost $27. The authors promise not to add pay-to-win elements and not to take money for new characters, maps, weapons, bosses, or additional quests. Only skins will be sold – the profits from them will go towards the development of the game.

The events of The Forever Winter will unfold in a dark future world that has experienced an environmental disaster and has been choked by the scale of violence between two superpowers performed by merciless AI automatons for the last 40 years.

Players alone or with friends will have to fight for survival in the shadow of huge war machines towering over the battlefield. You’ll have to work together, rely on your shooting skills, stealth and intelligence.

They promise a depressing atmosphere of industrial hell, local and online co-op, and unpredictable battles. A release outside of Steam is possible if the game is successful. Only English language is declared.
