The scene from Baldur’s Gate 3, discovered last fall by data miners, where Karlach suddenly realizes that he is in a video game, was far from the only one hidden from users by developers from Larian Studios.
SlimX made the impossible possible by switching the flag associated with forbidden scenes from “impossible” to “true”. As it turned out, Larian hid a whole series of dialogues, interactions and individual lines.
SlimX showed the heroes’ reactions to getting into the Shadow-Corrupted Lands, interrogation from Mintara in the Moon Tower, deleted remarks from Shadowheart (there should have been more than one scene where she can be hugged) and interaction with Gale at the very end of the game.
As SlimX notes, many of these “impossible” scenes are fully voiced and staged, but for one reason or another are not included in the final game. Among those shown, however, there were several interactions that were not ready for release.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was released on PC (Steam, GOG), Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In addition to individual scenes and interactions, a number of locations and gameplay features were cut from the game.
